Terms and Conditions of myPOS Hackathon

1. General Regulations
1.1 These terms set out the rules of participation in the specialized event for development of IT solutions (referred to as “myPOS Hackathon”).
1.2 The organizer of the Hackathon is myPOS Limited, branch Bulgaria BFC, UIC: 207893022, with registered office Varna, 9009, Mladost district, Business Park Varna No. B6
1.3 Dev Bulgaria OOD (“DEV.BG”) is partner of myPOS Hackaton.
1.4 myPOS Hackaton will be held in Work&Share Tintyava, Sofia.
1.5 The goal of myPOS Hackaton is to position myPOS as a leading and forward-looking employer, as well as to provide the opportunity for talents in the IT field to unleash their potential with the help of lecturers and mentors.
2. Duration
2.1 myPOS Hackaton will start at 6:30 PM on May 16, 2025 and will end at 9 PM on May 17, 2025
2.2 The awarding of the best teams will take place at 7:30 PM on May 17, 2025
3. Rules for participation
3.1 Participant in myPOS Hackaton may be every legally capable person over the age of 18.
3.2 The following persons are not eligible to participate:
Employees of myPOS, DEV.BG, or other third parties who are directly involved in the organization of myPOS Hackaton;
3.3 Upon completing the registration form, each participant must read these Terms and Conditions.
3.4 By submitting the registration form each participant agrees to participate in myPOS Hackathon and accepts these Terms and Conditions.
3.5 Any participant may withdraw from myPOS Hackaton at any time with which he/she will lose chance to compete for the prize.
3.6 The total number of participants is 50 people. Individual participation is not allowed. Participants shall be divided into teams. Each must consist of at least 3 participants. Each team must have a name.
3.7 The participant may take part in only one team.
4. Prizes
4.1 Prizes will be given to the top three qualified teams:
First place - BGN 2,000 for each member of the team
Second place - BGN 1,200 for each member of the team
Third place - BGN 800 for each member of the team.
4.2 The amounts of the prizes shall be taxed at the rate of 10% of their value in accordance with Art. 8, para. 6, item 2 of the Personal Income Tax Act, in force on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
4.3 The jury will announce the winning teams on the 17th May 2025. The award will be given no later than 30 days after the winning team is selected.
4.4 The members of the winning teams may be required to provide some additional data in order to receive the prize.
4.5 The jury will be stated on the event website.
4.6 The jury will include representatives of myPOS and external experts in the field.
4.7 The jury evaluates the teams' work using a point scale from 0 to 10 for each criteria that the teams must cover.

• Technical complexity
• Business impact and viability
• Presentation and pitch
4.8 During myPOS Hackaton, teams will have mentors from the DEV departments of myPOS, who will monitor, encourage and assist the teams.
5. Copyright
5.1 The participants declare and warrant that the technological solutions and ideas they presented at the Hackathon:
i.were not created before the start of the myPOS Hackaton;
ii.were not used in other hackathons;
iii.were not part of solutions already licensed by third parties;
iv.are a manifestation of independent creative activity during the myPOS Hackathon;
v.that they did not violate personal rights, copyrights, derivative copyrights and related rights as a result of the creation of their solution;
6. Personal data
6.1 The personal data of the participants in myPOS Hackaton will be processed in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2016, of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural people with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data. (General Data Protection Regulation). myPOS will process the personal data of the participants as described in the Privacy Notice for myPOS Campaigns and Promotional Events, available in the Legal section at https://mypos.com.
6.2 As a partner in myPOS Hackathon, DEV.bg will be a processor of personal data received from the Administrator, myPOS Hackathon per applicable law.
6.3 In accordance with and in addition to the Privacy Notice for myPOS Campaigns and Promotional Events, myPOS may process participants' data contained in recorded photographic or video materials based on myPOS's legitimate interests in promoting its corporate identity.
7. Final provisions
7.1 myPOS Limited Bulgaria Branch BFC reserves the right to interpret the provisions of these Terms.
7.2 myPOS Limited Bulgaria Branch BFC reserves the right to make changes to the Terms.
7.3 myPOS Limited Bulgaria Branch BFC reserves the right to terminate and/or cancel myPOS Hackaton early.
7.4 In the event of a dispute related to the Hackathon, it will be resolved by the competent court in the city of Sofia.
7.5. These Terms are prepared in a bilingual version. In the event of a discrepancy between the two versions, the version in Bulgarian will prevail.
